The short version: BibleFind stores your saved verses and preferences locally in your browser. When you search, your query is sent to our servers to find matching verses. We don’t build profiles or sell your data.
What we collect
When you search for a Bible verse, your query is sent to our servers to find the best match. If you use voice search, your browser converts the audio to text. Only that text reaches us. No audio is ever transmitted.
Your saved verses, recent searches, and translation preference are stored in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
How we use it
Your search queries are used only to return relevant Bible verses. We may use aggregated, anonymised search patterns to improve result quality over time. We do not use your queries for advertising or share them with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-party services
BibleFind uses trusted third-party services, including AI systems, to process your search queries and voice input. These services follow strict data protection standards and exist only to make BibleFind work well.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage to store your preferences, not third-party tracking cookies. This includes your saved verses, recent searches, chosen Bible translation, and your cookie consent choice. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
Your rights
Since most of your data lives in your own browser, you can delete it anytime by clearing your browser’s local storage. For any data we hold server-side, you can contact us to request access or deletion.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we’ll update this page. Feel free to check back occasionally if this matters to you.
